Xiaolong(Andy) Wang is working as the Head of Deep Learning R&D Group in GCDO at IBM Silicon Valley Lab. Previously, he was Research Manager and Senior Staff Research Scientist at AI R&D center in Samsung Research America (SRA). He completed Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the dept. of CIS at the University of Delaware (UDEL). He worked as the research assistant at the VIMS Lab in University of Delaware under the supervision of Prof. Chandra kambhamettu from 2012 to 2015. He received his M.S. degree from West Virginia University (WVU) in 2012. Previously, he also worked closely with Dr. Nick Cassimatis, Jon Currey, Dr. Michele Merler and Dr. Noel C. Codella . His research interests include: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Biometrics, Bioinformatics, Social Media and Signal Processing.
